Barcode Order ValidationTechnology

How warehouse automation with barcode verification significantly reduces shipping errors

The Challenge

Warehouses faced a recurring issue with order shipment errors: missing items or incorrect quantities led to complaints and returns. The concept of receiving orders in PDF format via email and processing them manually resulted in a variety of operational errors.

Employees had no way to verify if the correct products were being packed in the correct quantities for each order. The existing situation created a bottleneck in the operational process and increased the need for employees to return and complete shortages from previous shipments.

The existing solutions on the market did not provide a satisfactory response to the complex processes and failed to integrate true automation within a large warehouse setup efficiently.

Our Solution

A barcode verification system for orders has been developed, designed to address existing issues by providing real-time order verification, utilizing integration with Gmail for automatic import of PDF files.

The system adds an automated electrical layer to the entire verification process using LLM and a wide range of technologies such as Next.js 14's App Router, a PWA platform based on device cameras, and finally enabling handling of exceptional situations with a skip option.

The choice of these technologies stemmed from the need to allow a warehouse to operate efficiently, automatically, and sophisticatedly, with minimal delay and maximum accuracy.
